    In Italy, the following reports must be submitted to strict deadlines:

    HR in Italy

    What are the regular working hours in Italy?

    The usual working hours in Italy are 9am – 6pm, however for those in management positions, it is commonplace to work later in the evening. In the public sector, working hours are usually Mon-Sat 8am-2pm, or if not Saturday, some afternoons may be worked.

    Termination

    The employer is entitled to terminate an employee’s employment contract in the case of a Justified Cause (“Giusta Causa”) or Justified Reason (“Giustificato Motivo”).

    What tax considerations are there?

    In addition to income tax sitting at 5 different bands, there are also social security deductions for employees and corporate taxes to consider which must be paid by all resident companies. Regional production taxes (IRAP) also exist; these vary from region to region and are taxed at anywhere from 4-6%.
